Eurotherm recorders have user access and password management to help prevent unauthorized user access. The data is digitally recorded in internal memory reducing the risk of data loss if the server or communications are temporarily lost. Changes are timestamped and stored with process data which is stored in proprietary tamper resistant file format, readable using Data Reviewer Software.

Optional data integrity features include:

• ‘Store and Forward’ feature aids archiving reliability, by reconciling any missing data to storage databases when communications are resumed.
• Auditor option provides support for electronic signatures in accordance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and good practice guidelines such as Data Integrity ALCOA+ principles.
• A ‘Security Manager’ feature can be linked to Microsoft Active Directory for simplified and centralized user management.
• Communication robustness and user access features, help to protect production processes from being compromised by cyber attacks.
• Intellectual property (IP) such as process control values, recipes and control strategies can be protected using a configuration locking ‘OEM Security’ feature.
• Functions for monitoring processes such as sterilization.
