Undergraduate Placement in Research & Development

Who are we looking for?

We are keen to hear from undergraduates looking for industrial placements or work experience during their degree course. This may be just for the summer vacation (10 -12 weeks), for longer placements as part of the curriculum or in support of project work that is being undertaken.

We use placements not only to solve real engineering problems, but also to identify our next generation of talented engineering and technology professionals who may be offered permanent roles.

What would you be working on?

We have several potential electronics, software and industrial automation projects in the pipeline including:

Embedded software applications – “Demonstrate how open protocols like OPCUA & Ethernet/Industrial Protocol can be applied to existing applications.”
Embedded software applications – “Performance comparison of embedded applications on different ARM SOC (“system on a Chip”) platforms.”
Digital electronics – “Demonstrate 1-wire bus to integrate with EEPROM and expandable IO”

Internship in Finance or Marketing

We also offer 1 year internship opportunities in Finance or Marketing at our Headquarters in Worthing.

Marketing

Do you have a passion for content writing and digital marketing?

Your day could be image searching one minute, and writing a press release, whilst juggling the scheduling of time-sensitive social media posts! You will work together with the Marketing Manager to support varied marketing activities. The purpose of this paid 12-month internship is to allow the candidate to learn and practice marketing processes and methods in an international context. You might be populating campaign launch plans one day then assisting with a website improvement then scheduling the next month’s set of social media posts… or dropping everything for something new and urgent.

Finance

Are you currently working towards a degree or equivalent in Accounting, Mathematics, Economics or Business Studies?

This 12 month internship will allow the candidate to learn and practise Finance, Commercial and Accounting processes and methods in an international environment. You will get exposure to many disciplines within the accounting function, including but not limited to: Management accounting; Accounts payable and receivable; Accounting reconciliations; Business case creation and analysis; & Pricing. A keen interest and strong skills in systems, specifically Excel, would be a great advantage

About Eurotherm

ABOUT WORTHING

Worthing is a large seaside town on the south coast of England in West Sussex. It is situated at the foot of the south downs, 10 miles west of Brighton. Our offices are based in Durrington 4 miles from Worthing town centre.
There are lots of activities to do in the immediate area, Kite surfing, paddle boarding, sea fishing, mountain biking, walking, various gyms and good golf courses.
The Dome cinema is one of the oldest working cinemas in the UK and is on the seafront and there are a couple of other cinemas and two theatres in the town centre. With a large number of places to socialise and eat there is always something to do.
Good rail links along the south coast means trips to Brighton, Arundel, Chichester, Portsmouth, and London are a possibility

EUROTHERM Wellbeing activities

Eurotherm offers a competitive remuneration package, as well as a 4.5 day working week (the weekend starts Friday lunchtime).
Its not all about work, the company has an active running club, a mountain biking group (often to be found riding the south downs) and a Eurotherm Band. As part of our Well Being initiative we hold weekly in house fitness classes with a professional fitness instructor; Yoga, Pilates and Body Conditioning. We also offer massages and relaxation therapies once a month.
