“We had a furnace that took too long to operate due to controller limitations. If the furnace was opened at operating temperature for loading the recovery overshot 60 degrees.

“The plant had learned that it had to cool down the furnace before inserting the parts so that the old controller could control the temperature during recovery. This wasted valuable production time. We installed a 3504 and designed a software solution in the 3504 that allowed us to manage the temperature recovery and prevent overshoot without cooling the furnace down before loading. Thus allowing greater production throughput.
