Eurotherm Ltd was formed on 29th June 1965 in Worthing, West Sussex on the South coast of the UK.
The Board of Directors were Jim Hartnett (Chairman), Gerry Martin (Managing Director), Mike Somerville (Technical Director) and Jack Leonard (Sales Director). These four designed, manufactured, assembled, packaged, sold and delivered their products. Part of the assembly of machinery was done Gerry’s garage, garden shed and on his kitchen table. They had to become profitable within six months – and just managed to do so. Eurotherm started above shops in Ann Street, Worthing and moved to an old bedding store in Chatsworth Road and then to a factory on the Broadwater Estate.
